Obsidiana – Luglio 2019

If we could give Ivana’s place at Dimore del Duomo more than 5 stars we would. Not only was the hospitality fantastic, the apartment was wonderful, and the location could not have been better. Communication with Ivana was easy and timely. Ivana informed us that Clelia would follow up on our arrival to meet us at the apartment. Clelia was wonderfully warm and friendly with great instructions about the apartment and suggestions on places to eat and see. Clelia even helped us get a relatively last minute booking for a Mt Etna/Alcántara Gorge hiking trip. If she had not suggested it we would have missed one of the highlights of our month long trip to Sicily. Thank you Clelia. The apartment was beyond our expectations. Great amenities, balcony over one of the main street, fully and newly renovated modern rooms, bathrooms, kitchen etc. We had two bedrooms with bathrooms – a welcomed luxury as we were 3 adults. Could not have been better. It is located next to the fruit market and fish market of Catania. Within steps of the Piazza Duomo and walking distance to numerous sights in the center of Catania. We highly recommend Ivana’s place ‘Dimore del Duomo’.

Ivana’s apartment was amazing! It was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The WIFI connection was fast, the interior of the apartment was newly renovated and the kitchen is really well equipped (washing machine, oven, espresso machine, pans and cooking pots, kettle… everything brand-new!. As we travelled with two little children, Ivana arranged a highchair, a baby bathtub and plenty of towels. We arrived late in the evening, so we much appreciated the muffins, jams, nutella and milk to have breakfast the next days and also the delicious welcome chocolates, our children absolutely loved them! The apartment is located in the city center, the cathedral is about 5 minutes away (you can see the cathedral from the balcony!) and there are many restaurants and markets nearby. Ivana and Clelia were always very kind and helpful. They gave us some good tips about the city and arranged a taxi to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay in Catania! It was our first experience with Airbnb and we are happy everything went so well. Would definitely stay at Ivana’s place again and highly recommend it!

Great place to stay in Catania! We fully recommend. Near the fish market and the Duomo, the apartment is baby friendly. Ivana and Clelia were wonderful, they’ve answered all of my questions . In conclusion, if you visit Catania, we recommend staying at Ivana’s.
